MT 30-E Lab (Histology Art 2024-2025) 9 months, 1 week ago In “The Epidermal Scream”, I reinterpret “The Scream” using histology, depicting the integumentary system in a new way. The swirling background is replaced with layers of the epidermis, while Meissner’s and Pacinian corpuscles take the place of the ghostly figures, representing the skin’s sensory receptors. This artwork highlights how the skin constantly responds to stimuli, making its usually unseen functions more visible. By blending science and art, I aim to show the hidden complexity of the skin in a way that is both engaging and thought-provoking.
