MT30 – DD (LEC) 2 months ago These illustrations present simplified microscopic views of different body tissues—muscle (cardiac, skeletal, and smooth), connective tissues (bone, hyaline cartilage, and adipose tissue), and nervous tissues (spinal cord, cerebellum, and neuron). Each tissue has a unique structure suited to its function: muscles enable movement and pumping of blood; bone provides support and protection; cartilage offers flexible support; adipose tissue stores energy and insulates the body; and nervous tissue controls communication, coordination, and response. Together, they show how structure and function are closely related and how each tissue is essential for maintaining the body’s overall stability and survival.
