Muscle tissue is located in skeletal muscles attached to bones, in the heart as cardiac muscle, and in the walls of hollow organs such as the intestines and blood vessels as smooth muscle, and its main function is contraction to produce movement and propel substances within the body.
Nervous tissue is found in the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves, where it functions to transmit electrical impulses for communication, coordination, and control of body activities.
