Cuboidal epithelium is located within glands, where it is responsible for secreting hormones (endocrine) or enzymes (exocrine).Connective tissue provides structural support (i.e., connective tissue provides strength to your bones) to other types of tissue throughout the body. For example, adipose or fat provides valid sources of stored energy & helps protect vital organs.
Skeletal muscle has an attached bone structure and thus enables skeletal muscle movement through muscle contractions, whereas smooth muscle is not attached to a bone structure (i.e., involuntary muscles) and enables skeletal muscle contraction, which is crucial for the regulation of physiological processes, including digestion.
To control and coordinate the overall physical body systems, the nervous tissue transmits signals (e.g., neurons) for body-to-body communication. Neurons are the primary unit of the body for carrying electrical impulses.
