Is everyone aware that more than 200 million girls and women alive today have undergone a process called female genital mutilation in 30 countries in Africa, the Middle East and Asia ?
Female Genital Mutilation is a practice that involves the partial or total removal of external female genitalia or other injury to the female genital organs for non-medical reasons (WHO).
Children who are under 18 years old have been subjected to this abusive act. Parents who have let their children suffer from this act said that it was for culture.
