Uncontrolled deforestation is one of the rampant environmental issues in our country. According to the data provided by Forest Management Bureau of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Philippines is losing approximately 47,000 hectares of forest cover every year and that is a lot considering that our country is down to about 6.8 million hectares of forest cover last 2010. Now, we are facing the consequences of our negligence and overexploitation of our forests.
