Ben&Ben recently released their new single entitled: Di Ka Sayang, which has now become the top 1 among the top 50 hits in the Philippines. The song reminds us the importance of self-acceptance. But more than that, it also reminds us the unconditional love of God for His children.

“Di ka sayang, di kailangan manghinayang.
Di ka sayang, di kailangang patunayan.
Sarili ay mahalaga, kahit pa anong tingin nila.
Tanggap kita.”

These lines tells us that we are already loved, enough, and that we don’t have to prove anything. Do you feel those words?

1 John 4:19 says, “We love because He first loved us.” Imagine, you are already loved by the God of the universe. His love is not conditional and it does not depend on what we do for Him. God loves you for who you are – as His son, daughter, as His child. Even though you mess up multiple times, you are already enough for Him no matter what. God already accepts you as you are, nothing more, nothing less, and this is not based on what we do to glorify Him but based on what Jesus did on the cross 2000 years ago.

1 John 4:10 says, “This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.” So, the next time time you feel worthless, unloved, not enough, or unaccepted, remind yourself of what Jesus did for you. You are already loved, you are enough, and you don’t have to prove anything. Declare these words and believe them because these are truth.

“At kahit talikuran ka nila
Tanggap kita, bitawan na ang iyong pangangamba
Di pa huli para humilom
Ang mga sugat ng iyong nakaraan
Di kita iiwan”

Though people’s feelings come and go, God’s love for us remains ’til eternity. God loves you more than anyone could in a lifetime.
