EARTHERS: PLANET WARRIORS 5 years ago “Mangrove forests are one of the most severely threatened and undervalued ecosystems on Earth,” Zoological Society of London stated on their site.Mangroves actually play an important role in nature. It protects coastlines that are vulnerable to waves. Additionally, it holds the soil together to prevent erosion. It also serves as home to many animals and are also the source of food of many fishes and crabs. These trees can even store more carbon dioxide than the terrestrial forest!
According to Zoological Society of London, 50% of the mangroves have been lost in the Philippines. Helps us educate more people about mangrove. Through this, we can help save the mangroves and ecourage people to plant more of them! As we reach more people, more mangroves will be saved and planted. 🙌
