We can never aim right for a bull’s eye if we do not identify a target. Each one of the Sustainable Development Goals have their significant roles in addressing important issues building up as of the moment, yet, if given the chance to choose one among them to accentuate on, it would be 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure. One of the pressing matters we need to address is the global situation and response status on the pandemic, especially here in our country as we’d have to start small. Cases are rising as well as crime rates due to the various means people have chosen just for survival. If we have been able to provide sustainable jobs despite the situation as well as infrastructures capable to house a multitude of helpless patients, we would not be dealing with more than just a health calamity. Other basic needs have been sacrificed for the security of our health and neglecting those takes us further away from the revival we desperately need. However, sometimes our idealism cannot be aligned directly to our chosen career path which is why we would have to compromise on what we could contribute for holistic improvement. This then redirects us to the 3rd goal which is Good Health and Well-being as future providers for health care. If we are not in power to bring change for the 9th goal, we shall take steps towards where we could be efficient at best for the continuous journey towards our pursuit of global healing. But before the world, let us help Philippines first.
