It is also about combining scarce resources into productive activities, and the skills and abilities of the people involved in doing so. It has a major function aside from providing information to laboratory scientists which is also responsible for supervising the maintenance, replacement, and acquisition of new equipment for researchers. With this, a manager must equip the required lab management skills. There are four essential aspects of lab management: planning, organizing, leading and controlling the lab.
