This is an advocacy which aims to address the problems in the Philippines with regard to insufficient blood supply in emergency situations, such as pandemics, terrorism, bombings, natural calamities especially frequent experience of earthquakes and typhoons, wherein the demand for blood will be massive and overwhelming. We have seen how Beirut has suffered from the recent explosion, how America had the 9/11, and how Japan had the massive tsunami. We, too, in the Philippines has experienced bombing and terrorism in Mindanao, the 2013 Super Typhoon Yolanda, and even the COVID-19 pandemic which our country is continuously fighting until now.
VISION
It is the team’s vision to attain a blood-sufficient Philippines.
MISSION
Continually:
1. Monitor the laws, aimed at attaining sufficient blood supply, regarding their efficiency and needed improvement
2. Provide technical assistance and advisories for private sectors and other organizations
3. Instill into the minds and hearts of the people a greater appreciation for blood donation
4. Educate the public on the benefits of donating blood, may they be the donor or the receiver
5. Promote a healthy environment in blood donation drives which would cultivate a wider scope of encouragement and appreciation
6. Attain a status wherein the Philippines can sustain the demands for blood
