Ureters – are small tubes around 25 cm long, located inside your pelvis. It transports urine from your kidney to the bladder. Its histological feature is bordered by an epithelium that is impermeable to water and ions. The peristaltic contraction of the smooth muscle causes urine to flow.
Kidney – is a pair of bean-shaped organs that is approximately the size of your fist and its job is to filter the blood. Each kidney has a thick fibrous capsule consisting of irregular dense connective tissue for protection.
Urinary bladder – acts as the storage of urine and holds it until you are ready to expel the urine. The bladder has three layers of smooth muscle and transitional epithelium. It is a muscular sac that stretches and holds urine temporarily. It is due to the transitional epithelial lining that looks like stratified squamous epithelium when stretched.
