Striated skeletal muscle is the body's powerhouse, built for movement, strength, and control. Unlike the heart’s never-ending rhythm, these muscles work when we command them, whether for a sprint, a smile, or simply lifting a cup of coffee. Their fibers are long and striped, like tightly packed cables, designed for precision and force. Each fiber is packed with tiny contractile units that fire like tiny engines, pulling the muscle together with every flex. Some fibers are made for quick bursts of power, while others endure, keeping us upright and steady
