Chondrocytes are the cells present in your elastic cartilage and are responsible for excreting substances in your cartilage matrix. Elastic cartilage provides strength and elasticity. This type of connective tissue is found in auditory tubes, epiglottis, upper respiratory tract and external auditory canals.
