Cardiac muscle tissues have similar features with skeletal muscle tissues but are distinct because of intercalated discs. They make are involuntary, rhythmic, and strong contractions.
Skeletal muscle tissues come in long, striated bundles of cells and are multi-nucleated. The contractions they make are quick, forceful, and mostly voluntary.
Smooth muscle tissues are not striated and have groups of fusiform cells. Their contractions are involuntary and slow.
