🛈 WHAT IS THE URINARY SYSTEM?
The urinary system, a vital waste elimination pathway, functions as the body’s filtration unit. It selectively removes toxins and metabolic byproducts from the bloodstream, generating urine for excretion. This intricate system involves a sequence of organs and ducts: kidneys (filtration), ureters (transport), bladder (storage), and urethra (elimination). Dysfunction at any stage can disrupt normal micturition (urination).
Here below, I have illustrated and labeled 4 urinary tissues, namely: the mammal ureter, frog kidney, human kidney, and urinary bladder
