🛈 WHAT IS THE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM?
The human reproductive system facilitates the biological process of procreation, enabling the creation and nurturing of offspring. This intricate system involves the production of gametes (sperm and egg) by the gonads (testes and ovaries), their subsequent transport and fertilization, implantation and development of the embryo within the uterus, and ultimately, childbirth. Additionally, the female reproductive system exhibits a cyclical hormonal pattern culminating in menstruation, which is suppressed during pregnancy and lactation.
Here below, I have illustrated and labeled 4 reproductive tissues, namely: the human ovary, prostate, epididymis, and oviduct.
