The lecture method is the simplest and most conventional way to teach any subject. It is a teacher-controlled and information-centered strategy in which the instructor serves as a role resource in the classroom. Traditional lecture methods’ organizational structure is one of its benefits. The classroom is completely under the teacher’s supervision. He or she sets the agenda for the class and instructs the pupils on how to behave. It’s a good way to present a lot of information in a short amount of time in this regard.

However, the student is typically solely expected to listen to the lecturer which makes passive learning a possibility. They are free to choose what information should be recorded as being significant. In other words, students merely pay attention to the lectures and decide for themselves what information to record. It is a straightforward and less complicated method of teaching and learning because there is less input required from the students.
