    • When thinking of the human body, what comes to mind? Is it your hands, feet, and mouth? If so, yes! You are correct, however, have you ever stopped to consider what are the microscopic behind the scenes happening inside the body, well, let me take you in a microscopic ride to see what really happens inside your body;

      Adipose tissue- this connective tissue is a big fat storages that store energy for future use, its nuclei are found at the edges of the cell due to the amount of energy their store. Additionally, they are also responsible for insulation and protection.

      Cardiac Muscle Tissue- This muscle tissue helps the heart pump blood through the body, and it is observed to have intercalated discs, desmosomes and an overall tube like shape.

      Simple Cuboidal Epithelium – They have a single layer of cell with a cube like shape. They are responsible for absorption and secretion of the glands in organs like the pancreas and the kidneys.

      Astrocytes -these star shaped glial cells are responsible for maintaining the blood brain barrier and promote a synapse formation.

      And so, my short trip is over. Come back next time for more educational adventure with me and my art 🙂
