Activity 2 (The 4 Human Tissues)
1. Epithelial Tissue: It covers both the inside and outside surfaces of the body. Examples include the skin and the lining of organs. It protects, absorbs, secretes, and senses.
2. Connective Tissue: This tissue supports and connects body organs and tissues. It includes types like bone, blood, and cartilage. Functions include support, protection, and transportation.
3. Muscle Tissue: There are three types: skeletal, cardiac, and smooth. Skeletal muscles allow voluntary movement, cardiac muscles pump blood, and smooth muscles control involuntary movements like digestion.
4. Nervous Tissue: It’s found in the brain, spinal cord, and nerves. Nervous tissue transmits electrical impulses, allowing us to sense and respond to stimuli.Source: (2021). Epithelium: What It Is, Function & Types. Cleveland Clinic. https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/articles/22062-epithelium
