Activity 8 (The Reproductive System)
The primary function of the reproductive system is to ensure the survival of the species.1. Testis – The testicles, also known as testes, are male reproductive organs responsible for producing sperm and hormones. They are situated outside the body.
2. Placenta AND 4. Umbilical cord – During pregnancy, the placenta, an organ that develops in the uterus, is connected to the growing baby by the umbilical cord. Through this cord, the placenta supplies oxygen and nutrients to the developing fetus.
3. Ovary – They are small, oval-shaped glands positioned on each side of the uterus. They are responsible for producing both eggs and hormones.Sources:
