MT 14 – LEC (EE) A.Y 2025-2026 7 months, 3 weeks ago Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) in clinical laboratories ensure that test results are accurate, reliable, and consistent. QA is the overall system that manages the entire process, from collecting and handling samples to analyzing and reporting results, while QC focuses on checking and correcting errors in the actual tests. Together, it helps with proper sample handling, equipment calibration, internal and external checks, documentation, staff training, and continuous improvement. Without QA and QC, labs risk giving wrong results, leading to misdiagnosis and wasted resources.
