Heart attack and Cardiac arrest, although each one refers to a heart-related illness, are not synonymous. According to Cedars-Sinai (2017), cardiac arrest is an electrical issue caused by a disruption in the heart’s rhythm, whereas a heart attack is a circulation issue. The majority of heart attacks do not result in cardiac arrest. When cardiac arrest occurs, however, a heart attack is a frequent cause. For more information, please watch this video:
