Insights on “What is whole person education and multiple intelligence?”
Article link: https://www.knewstep.com/what-is-whole-person-education-and-multiple-intelligence/All I can synthesize from this article is that there needs to be a balance in everything especially when it comes to the intelligence quotients that a person possesses. Contrary to popular belief that the IQ or the academically-inclined type of intelligence is the most important and should be the main one to be focused on by students, it is not healthy to make this a superior type among the others. In fact, none of these intelligences should be superior to others. Although we are our own people and some of us tend to showcase more of a certain intelligence quotient but it is important that all the others are also developed and paid attention to. A balance in the intelligence, emotional, social, adversity, cultural, financial, and all the other intelligence quotients is a something one should balance in his/her own life in order to develop fully as a person. However, I personally think that it doesn’t need for a person to have all these in the fullest level, these just need to be in moderation and in accordance to how they define their own success in life and how they want themselves to develop as they are their own beings.

GE 10-DDInsights on the article, “Whole Person Education: The Goals and the Challenges”
I truly believe that integrating whole person education into our curriculum is very important because not only does it allow us students to develop our holistic self to effectively summon the best version of ourselves in serving the community with our unique chosen endeavors but it also gives light to the essence of faith apart from competence and character which embody the Sillimanian spirit within us. This is effectively synthesized by Dr. Ben S. Malayang III when he mentioned that WPE overall provides us with a higher ability to learn, live, serve others, and serve God. Moreover, with his second response about accreditation, including languages, and the silent curriculum, encompasses a vast category of elements for WPE to be integrated into colleges by the United Board. While they might be more of connecting linkages among Christian schools under the United Board and forming ties with its students, I believe that they all share the same goal of fueling the students’ will to live wholly as a person and experience a life with a purpose anchored on their faith to God and the love to serve people with a grateful heart. With this, I believe that the United Board along with its faculty are doing their best to provide an education that aim to create future Christian leaders who are trustworthy, responsible, and passionate in serving the community.
Whole person education is characterized by the development of an individual’s holistic knowledge acquisition leading to an ultimate manifestation of a well-accomplished being. Furthermore, it extends beyond the four walls of the classroom and integrates with all aspects of a person’s development including the physical, mental, emotional, social, and most importantly the spiritual learnings, relating to the Sillimanian motto – Via, Veritas, Vita.
What I learned for MT14
Through this subject, I learned about the practical things to be done in a laboratory apart from the principles that we need to follow for processing specimens. Laboratory information system is indeed an essential aspect of a medical establishment and handling this types of information with respect to the standing that you have in the organization chart is very helpful in making sure that you’re on the right track. Also, material management was definitely a catch and it’s something I’m trying to apply more in my life because I find it useful to avoid shortage of supplies. Thank you Sir Reuben!
Hebrews 13:5 (NKJV)
Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said,βI will never leave you nor forsake you.β
