MT30 A (LAB)Activity 6: URINARY SYSTEM 🔬
❕Urinary system is responsible for filtering out excess fluid and other substances from the bloodstream to regulate blood volume and pressure, control levels of electrolytes and metabolites, and maintain blood pH balance.
❕Ureters transport urine from the kidneys to the bladder
❕Kidneys play a crucial role in filtering waste products and excess substances from the blood to form urine. Kidneys also help regulate blood pressure, electrolyte balance, and red blood cell production.
❕Penis plays a crucial role in both sexual intercourse and urination. It contains the urethra, which allows passage of urine from the bladder to the urethral opening, enabling a person to expel urine from the body.
❕Urinary bladder stores and empties out urine in a coordinated and controlled manner.
