What I learned while making the procedure manuals and interviewing various laboratories established here in Dumaguete is that it takes great commitment and compassion to be able to run a laboratory with a trusted service to the people. LIS places a strong emphasis on maintaining patient records, which are just as crucial to patient diagnosis as the testing itself. I realized that having these systems in place makes the laboratory and as well its medical technologists stay organized and trustworthy with reliable data records. Knowing that our laboratories carefully consider having a LIS that works for them regardless of whether it is technologically advanced or not gives me comfort. It only demonstrates their genuine commitment to providing their patients with quality care.

ASSIGNMENT: What is the importance of material management in the laboratory and in your life?
Material management is a vital and important component that applies to both our personal daily lives and the laboratory setting. Efficiency in material management ensures that tests are carried out accurately and safely in laboratories. Proper labeling, storage, and disposal of materials prevent contamination and personnel exposure to risks, reduce waste, and ultimately result in cost savings and a healthier environment. It can help us live more sustainably in our personal lives by lowering our resource consumption and waste production. It also has to do with keeping our possessions in order so that our living space is less cluttered and more functional, as well as being organized and mindful of our resources to keep us from overspending. Effective material management ultimately involves being aware of how we use resources both in the lab and in our daily lives.
What is system analysis and design?
System analysis and design is a process that many companies use to evaluate particular business situations and develop ways to improve them through more optimal methods. Companies may use this process to reshape their organization or meet business objectives related to growth and profitability. System analysis and design also typically emphasize how systems act, their relationships to other subsystems and the ability of both to meet a specific goal.
