My love for food allows me to associate it with what constitutes life itself—cells. As shown in the artwork, I aligned one of my favorite foods, pizza, with the human cell’s structure. The toppings serve as the various organelles present. Just as the cell serves as the basic unit of life, pizza is an individual’s fundamental unit of energy. Hence, it is possible to perceive pizza as a cell that powers one’s action, growth, and repair in the body; it provides the fuel and satisfaction that keeps humans alive and thriving.
