Tooth – A calcified structure composed of enamel, dentin, and pulp used for mechanical digestion through chewing.
Human Liver – A large glandular organ with lobules that processes nutrients, detoxifies substances, and produces bile.
Stomach – A muscular sac lined with gastric glands that secretes acid and enzymes to initiate protein digestion.
Esophagus – A muscular tube with stratified squamous epithelium that transports food from the mouth to the stomach.
Parotid Gland – A major salivary gland composed mainly of serous acini that produces enzyme-rich saliva.
Caecum – A pouch-like beginning of the large intestine that plays a minor role in absorption and houses gut flora.
Jejunum – The middle portion of the small intestine specialized for nutrient absorption, with prominent villi and microvilli.
