Good day, everyone!! Attached below is a picture of my Activity 3 (Circulatory Tissues). This also includes a brief description:

Vena Cava: The vena cava are two big veins in your body. They transport blood that is low in oxygen back to your heart, acting as important thoroughfares. Blood comes from the upper body by the superior vena cava and the lower body by the inferior vena cava (Professional, n.d.).

Spleen: Your spleen is a spongy organ located on the left side of your abdomen, just below the diaphragm. It’s part of your lymphatic system and plays a vital role in fighting infection by filtering bacteria and old blood cells from your bloodstream. Additionally, it stores platelets, which are essential for blood clotting (The Editors of Encyclopaedia Britannica, 2024).

Vein: Veins and arteries are both transport systems within your body, but they carry different materials. Arteries carry blood rich in oxygen away from your heart to deliver it to the rest of your body. In contrast, veins carry blood low in oxygen back to your heart. An easy way to remember the difference is to think of VEins taking blood AWAY from your heart and ARteries taking blood to your heart (National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, 2023).

Nerve: A nerve is a specialized structure in your body that functions like a communication cable. It carries messages between your brain and the rest of your body. These messages control muscle movement and enable you to feel sensations like touch, taste, and paiN (National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, 2022).
