Duodenum. The duodenum on the other hand is the first part of your small intestine. It is situated between the stomach and the middle part of the small intestine otherwise known as the jejunum. It is in the duodenum where food is mixed with bile from the gallbladder and digestive juices from the pancreas after it reaches the stomach.
