1. Striated muscle, l. s. (LPO)
The muscles in our bodies that have a striped appearance are striated muscles. The striped appearance is due to these muscles’ light and dark bands which appear in an alternate pattern. The different types of striated muscles in our body are skeletal and cardiac muscles. Skeletal muscles are voluntary in nature as they control the brain and therefore help the body in movement. On the other hand, cardiac muscles are involuntary in nature and it helps in the contraction of the heart walls and in the pumping of the blood in the body.
