Course insights:
There are a lot of things I have learned during the entire semester that revolves around the course “Health Information Systems” or HIS. First and foremost, I discovered the crucial importance of HIS and its function in my soon-to-be selected field of work as well as in this era in which technology use is prevalent. It is one of many pillars that ensures an effective and efficient work flow that has been implemented and carried out. The numerous features that contributed to the growth of safety, effectiveness, and quality as well as the features that support patient care by offering quality control is one of the many things it has offered to our advantage. It includes detailed information about the patient’s medical history, including diagnoses, treatments, medications, laboratory results, and the like, it promotes precision and reliability, thereby reducing medical errors and encourages continuance of the best possible patient care.
It was truly an interesting topic and I am indeed excited to learn more about this topic next school year.
