Lesson Learned Mt 14 HIS
Back then when I was younger, I believed that Medical Technology was only analyzing samples; doing laboratory tests that help diagnose, treat, and prevent diseases, collecting blood and etc. But through this subject, MT 14; I learned how important it is to be computer literate. Because first and foremost, most jobs require the use of computers in some form. So HIS can point the way to continuous quality improvement and learning. I have also learned that the availability of new data sources provides a broader view that can further expand quality improvement. Nonetheless, my knowledge in this subject has expanded on such topics in HIS. I have also come up to a conclusion that a data gathered from a well-functioning HIS is particularly helpful in health institutions’ policy and decision-making processes and serves as the foundation for developing program activities. This translates to more effective resource management at the policy level and better health outcomes at the delivery level. Lastly, Health Information System is vital in the healthcare industry since it not only improve work quality but also makes work easier. I am thankful to my teacher for the time and effort he has shared with me and my classmates just so we learn and apply Health Information System.
