GE 10 – DD🏬 BUILDINGS IN SILLIMAN UNIVERSITY
📍 SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL BUILDINGSilliman University (SU) recently initiated the construction of a new academic building tailored for its Senior High School (SHS) students. The ceremonial groundbreaking event occurred on January 14, 2021, in the vicinity of the Dr. Romeo P. Ariniego Art Gallery. Envisioned by the faculty of SU’s Architecture Department, the building is scheduled to start construction in the initial quarter of the year, with the expected completion by August 2022, aligning with the commencement of the 2022-2023 academic year. Jane Annette L. Belarmino, SU’s Vice President for Development, expressed optimism for the resumption of face-to-face classes within the new establishment. The primary objective of the building, as emphasized by SU President Dr. Betty Cernol McCann, is to establish a unified environment for SHS students and faculty, addressing the challenge of dispersed classrooms scattered across various locations on the campus. The upcoming structure will encompass 24 classrooms, each capable of accommodating 40 students, providing a centralized and conducive setting for the SHS community.
