Silliman University recently announced the completion of the Pharma building, positioned adjacent to Pulido Hall. This modern facility, designated for use by students in the Pharmacy, Dentistry, and Ophthalmology programs, comprises a total of 8 rooms, with 7 allocated for instructional purposes and 1 designated as the program director’s office. Each classroom has a capacity for up to 45 students. Strategically located in close proximity to the SU Medical School and SU Medical Center, the building endeavors to centralize the allied health programs. The total construction expenses amounted to Php 17,870,475.76, encompassing vital features such as air conditioning units and lighting. During the construction phase, the project encountered various challenges, including restricted access, leading to delays in its completion. Due to lower than anticipated student enrollment, the building underwent temporary repurposing as classrooms for the Senior High department. The official inauguration of the building is pending the acquisition of a certificate of occupancy from the city engineer’s office.
