Histology Art (MT 30 – I) 4 years, 3 months ago Histology Art for Muscle TissueThe kinds of muscle tissue that your body contains are Cardiac Muscle Tissue, Skeletal Muscle Tissue, and Smooth Muscle Tissue. These tissues are responsible for the movements that your body produces. They have a number of blood vessels, and they contain a lot of cells.
• CARDIAC MUSCLE TISSUE – is a type of muscle tissue that forms your heart. Your cardiac muscle tissue allows your heart to keep pumping blood around the body. Its flexibility and strength to contract is due to its interconnected cardiac muscle cells or fibers.
• SKELETAL MUSCLE TISSUE – has muscle fibers that appears striated. This type of muscle tissue attaches to bones and they are extensible and elastic.
• SMOOTH MUSCLE TISSUE – shows an absence of striations. Smooth muscle tissue contracts slowly and automatically. It has a narrow spindle-shaped cells with a single nucleus located at the center.References:
