This histology art resembles the lining of the 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞, but in a fun, ocean-inspired way. The finger-like structures are known as 𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢, they resemble a coral reef because they assist in the absorption of nutrients from our food. 𝐒𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐚𝐫 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐬 cover each villus, and tiny hair-like structures known as 𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢, which enhance absorption better. It’s like a reef where nutrients swim inside and are absorbed by the body, a creative combination of science and fantasy.-
