“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 4:6-7
“Every generous act of giving, with every perfect gift, is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.”
A mission statement discusses about the organization’s plan and strategy in a day-to-day basis. While vision statement focuses on what the organization wants to attain in the future.
Psalm 143:8, NIV

The Laboratory Information System (LIS) is essential for informational purposes inside the laboratory. It is a network composed of various components which involve the use of a computer system. It tracks down patient’s data and test results.
The Laboratory Information System collects information, improves workflow and procedures, and manages resources. It provides easy access to data that allows easier planning of work. It will aid in the tracking of specimens and patient status.
Laboratory Information System ensures good-quality results. It aims to promote precise workflow.
Tracking of specimens will based on the report of the test results. While patient tracking focuses on monitoring the patient’s status. It evaluates information and determines the treatment of disease.
The Laboratory Information System requires three major components to function. These are the Tracking Sample, Implementing Protocol, and Managing Storage. These three components help synchronize the task of the Laboratory Information System.
Tracking Sample is the main component of the Laboratory Information System. Samples must include accurate information about the patient. It includes the name of the patient, type of sample, date, etc.
Encoding the details will also help the sample reach its final evaluation. The barcode on the sample may help locate its progress. The sample tracker would also compile the results into a single document.
The correct information is important when tracking a sample. It avoids confusion for the laboratorians. It would also lead to more quick results.
Implementing Protocol is the second major component of the Laboratory Information System. Implementing protocols, processes, and procedures helps the enhancement of laboratory workflow. It simplifies the task given to the laboratory personnel.
Computerizing the steps may help generate Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Standard Operating Procedure aids the process of the sample.
Laboratory Information System implements a protocol to maintain good quality tests. Its goal is to provide and distribute concise results. It aims to deliver accurate test results to patients.
Managing Storage is the third major component of the Laboratory Information System. It is important to organize all documents to locate them. Files may used for future purposes.
The batch number and date of the test results will help locate the file. It is in a shelf rack or box for easy retrieval. Confidentiality is also observed.
Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) covers the process of a sample. From first to final analysis. The stages are Sample storage, Testing, Reporting, and Archiving.
The Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) process begins at the sample introduction. The laboratory personnel will assign an identification number to the sample. It is to locate the sample.
The sample will then continue to its next procedure. Updated information will appear in the Laboratory Information Management System. It will track the status of the sample.
The Laboratory Information Management System provides adequate information and health services. It promotes good quality to ensure safety and assurance to the patients. It results in achieving good results for both laboratory personnel and patients.
The Laboratory Information System (LIS) workflow simplifies the job of the laboratory personnel.
