MT30 (LAB) – BActivity: Specimen Viewing on Nervous Tissues 🔬🧐
Name of Specimen: Mammal cerebrum, H. & E.
Description: The brain’s largest region is the cerebrum. It is in charge of speech, memory, the senses, and emotional reactions. This type of nervous tissue contains neurons or nerve cells that produce and carry out impulses. The cell body, one axon, and the dendrites are the three main components of these cells. Moreover, this tissue also includes cells that support neuronal activity rather than transmit impulses. These are the glial cells, also known as neuroglia, which are grouped together, and function to insulate the neurons and bind them together.
