Activity: Specimen Viewing on the Urinary System’s Components 🔬🧐

The drainage system for the removal of urine is called the urinary tract. The urinary tract is divided into two parts. The upper urinary tract is composed of the kidneys and ureters. On the other hand, the lower urinary tract includes the bladder and urethra. It is also supported by two sets of muscles that work together as a sphincter, closing off the urethra to keep urine in the bladder, which are the internal and external sphincter muscles. The primary function of the urinary tract is to filter the blood, remove wastes from the body in the form of urine, and reabsorb essential products back in the circulation. You can keep it healthy by drinking enough fluids (especially water), making healthy food choices, urinating whenever you need to, and doing pelvic floor muscle exercises.
