Silliman University Cafeteria
• Second oldest food establishment in Dumaguete City
Villareal Hall
• College of Law Building and named after Cornelio Villareal.
Science Complex
• Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics Departments Building, formerly known as the Education building, and named after Dr. Clyde Heflin
Oriental Hall (OH)
• It was a girls’ dormitory. In 1972-2003: the College of Business Administration (for 30 years)
Hibbard Hall
• current home of the Anthropology Museum was named after Silliman’s first president, Dr. David S. Hibbard and his wife, Laura C. Hibbard. Constructed in the 1932 but was finished around 1942 because of the shortage of funds. Was once used as CBA, Library and Administration building
Katipunan Hall
• constructed on 1916 as a Mission Hospital administered by the missionary Langheim couple. The facility originally known as the Silliman University Mission Hospital underwent a name change to Katipunan Hall after ceasing hospital operations. The building was repurposed into classrooms for educational purposes.
College of Business Administration (CBA)
• Built in 2003 which has a Level IV accreditation of the PAASCU. The college provides education and training in contemporary business principles across various disciplines, including accounting, finance, operations, business economics, business analytics, office systems administration, human resources, and marketing. The accounting program specifically delves into concepts, principles, and practices related to the efficient accumulation, development, and communication of financial information.
Arts and Sciences Building ( or Luz Ausejo Hall or AH)
• Inaugurated on 1998
Alice Fullerton Hall – used by the graduate school and was once a dormitory
Ethel Chapman – used by ICLS and was once a dormitory
Hall, Mary Marquis-Smith Hall, Olivia Villaflores-Yanson Hall and Barry Thompson Learning Resource Center- used by College of Nursing
Roble Hall – used by the Senior High School
The Claire Isabel McGill-Luce Auditorium
• Built in October 6, 1974 and designed by Augusto Ang Barcelona. A 761-seater, known as Silliman’s Cultural Center. The building was made possible by the generous donation of the Henry Luce Foundation.
Silliman University Library
• Built in 1978. Donation from the people of the United States of America through USAID. Today with a collection of over 250,000 volumes of books; with an On-Line Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) and a Cyber Library.
Silliman Gym
• built using dismantled parts of an airplane hangar from Samar. Immediate to it, the Shaw Memorial Pool and Ravello field,
Chapel of Evangel
• built in 1957 became the home of the Silliman Bible School
Angelo King and Allied Medical Sciences Center
• Donated by a businessman and philanthropist-Angelo King. Inaugurated in June 19, 1996
Silliman School of Medicine
• first classes started in the SY 2005-2006, then soon transferred to the new building inaugurated last 2013
Dr. Romeo Ariniego Art Gallery
• Donated by Dr. Romeo P. Ariniego, one of the country’s famous cardiologists who started his humble beginnings in Silliman University. He was a dormitory desk assistant, a janitor, and also did gardening (working student) way back then.
Uytengsu Hall (UH)
• Donated by the Uytengsu Family in memory of their son who had his pre-law in SU – Mr. Wentworth Uytengsu.Guy Hall
• built in 1918 as the dormitory for boys. Donated by William Guy in memory of his wife, Kathryn Guy
Leopoldo Ruiz Hall
• Administration building
• 1st floor: Houses the Business and Finance Office, Office of the Vice President for Finance and Administration, University Treasurer’s Office, Accounting Department, University Cashier.
• 2nd floor: Office of the President and the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs on the second floor
• 3rd floor, Office of the VP for Development, Human Resource Development Office, OIP OfficeSilliman Hall building
• Oldest building built in 1903, metal sheets used for the ceiling were taken from an old theater in New York, also the timber used were imported from the US. Used for as a lecture room, also for conferences, events and on the second floor, you can find the Department of Fine Arts.-
