Histology’s importance comes with identifying structures and functions of the tissues which make up our organs, and ultimately our bodies. Understanding why our tissues are built a certain way aids in the diagnosis of certain diseases. Afterall, how can one determine what causes complications if they cannot identify the source of it which could be abnormalities in the structure of the various tissues found in our body. Subsequently, the knowledge of how our bodies function tremendously helps us in promoting health. By knowing which practices are damaging to our tissues, we can avoid it and even create treatents for the betterment of humanity as a whole.
