Medical laboratory testing is a precise and complex process that necessitates close attention to detail. Reagents, chemicals, samples, and equipment must be stored, handled, and labeled correctly to maintain their integrity and prevent contamination or degradation. Any error or mismanagement of materials can lead to inaccurate test results, which can lead to misdiagnosis and ineffective patient care.
