(2024) highlights how cesarean section (C-section) deliveries, particularly elective ones performed before labor begins and at early gestational ages, dramatically increase the risk of respiratory issues in babies. These include neonatal tachypnea (TTN), respiratory distress syndrome (RDS), and persistent pulmonary hypertension (PPHN). These difficulties are exacerbated by insufficient lung fluid clearance and the absence of normal labor mechanisms.
