    The circulatory system primarily transports blood to and from the heart to all tissues of the body. It transports oxygen and carbon dioxide, nutrients, and other metabolic waste products. Aside from this, one’s circulatory system is also involved in thermal regulation, hormone distribution, and immune function.
    The main key parts of this system are the:
    Heart which pumps blood through the body system
    Arteries which are vessels that deliver blood to tissues
    Capillaries which are networks of small vessels that perfuse tissues
    Veins which are vessels that return blood to the heart
