Histology Art (MT 30 – J) 4 years, 1 month ago It’s essential to remember that cells are the building blocks of all living things. The human body is made up of billions of cells. They build the body’s structure, take in nutrients from food, turn them into energy, and do different things. Cells also have the body’s genetic material in them and can make copies of them.
It’s not just one thing that makes up a cell. Each part does something different. Some of these parts, called organelles, are concrete structures inside the cell that do other things. These organelles are the smooth and rough endoplasmic reticulum, the Golgi body, the peroxisome, the centrosome, the ribosome, the microtubules, the vacuole, the nucleus, and the mitochondria.
