Histology Art (MT 30 – J) 4 years, 3 months ago The connective tissue supports, protects, gives structure to other tissues and organs in the body. The following image below is an illustration of the different examples of connective tissue found in our body.• Adipose Tissue also known as body fat is found all over the body. It can be found under the skin (subcutaneous fat), packed around internal organs (visceral fat), between muscles, within bone marrow and in breast tissue. It helps to store energy in the form of fat, cushion internal organs, and insulate the body.
• The areolar tissue is found beneath the epidermis layer and is also underneath the epithelial tissue of all the body systems that have external openings. it makes the skin elastic and helps it to withstand pulling pain.
• Hyaline cartilage is the most widespread and is the type that makes up the embryonic skeleton. It persists in human adults at the ends of bones in free-moving joints as articular cartilage, at the ends of the ribs, and in the nose, larynx, trachea, and bronchi.
