The digestive system is made up of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, as well as the liver, pancreas, and gallbladder. The GI tract is a network of hollow organs that are connected from the mouth to the anus. The organs that make up the GI tract are the mouth, esophagus, stomach, large intestine, small intestine, and anus, in order of association. This system in particular was created with the sole purpose of converting food into the nutrients and energy you need to survive. It neatly compresses your solid waste, or stool, for disposal in the restroom.
