    • Learning about childhood cutaneous mucinosis was interesting to say the least. When I was younger, I had gone to the pediatrician to understand what it was. The doctor had originally assumed it was just bug bites. But the raised bumps would not subside. I eventually had a punch biopsy on one of my arms and was diagnosed with childhood cutaneous. It eventually went away as a grew up. The disease in general is not fully understood. It only describes having a significant amount of mucin deposits between the collagen fibers. The resulting skin lesions are asymptomatic and harmless. Actually even now I still have one lesion on my face and it does not hurt or hinder me in any way.
