    • Life may be interesting but what comes shortly after one’s death is also interesting when observed under a microscope within the first few hours. After 24 hours, the epithelial nucleus condensed, and cell lysis was exhausted after 20 days. The post-mortem alterations in the dermis occurred later than those in the epidermis (72 hours), but the shift was more fast after epidermal changes began. The layers had become homogenized after 16 days. After 24 days, the epidermis and dermis had entirely detached. Sweat gland modifications developed early (24 hours) and faded later (32 days); sebaceous glands and hair follicles began to degenerate at 96 hours after death, and by 20 days, just their outline remained.
